Camp Veštar – Maistra’s first five-star camp

Camp Veštar in Rovinj was just categorized as a five-star camp, making it the first camp of that category in Maistra’s portfolio. This achievement is the result of many years of investment in the improvement of the quality of service and the amenities at the Camp, which resulted in meeting all the criteria for that prestigious category.
The most significant investments included the renovation of the Camp’s entrance area in 2023, which included the renovation of the reception and parking lot, and afterwards the construction of new sports area with mini golf, a multipurpose playground, beach volleyball, table tennis and outdoor exercise equipment. The guests of the Camp also received a new sanitary facility no. 6, and the swimming pools were refurbished with new water features.
In 2024, the investments included the reconstruction of the central zone, as well as the construction of a new square, sanitary facility no. 7, and a stage for entertainment and evening programs, the opening of a new grocery store and the MaiSky children’s club with abundant equipment for both kids and teenagers. It is worth mentioning that as of this year nine pitches have their own charging station, while guests also get a digital map, which serves to make it easier to find pitches when registering and to move around the camp, with the option of navigation. All guests receive RFID wristbands, which allow controlled access to the uncrowded swimming pool, free deckchairs, and the possibility of cashless payment. The camp’s offer was enriched with various amenities, including culinary delicacies and refreshing drinks in the renovated Lovor Real Grill Restaurant, Kapula Burger Bar, Basilico Pizza Pasti and Tuffo Splash Bar, which are part of the MaiEats Restaurants & Bars brand that promotes local, fresh and seasonal dishes.
Camp Veštar is attractively located next to the beach and offers accommodation in 235 mobile homes and on 503 pitches, for more than 2,200 guests. The largest number of guests come from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, countries that also awarded the camp the ADAC Superplatz***** and ANWB TOP Erkende***** awards for 2024.
