A Multi-Day Program Held to Celebrate City Day
17.9.2025
A rich program of events for citizens and visitors, designed for all generations, was held over several days, including a variety of concerts, workshops, exhibitions, traditional games, and theatrical performances.
The five-day celebration began with a parade of the brass band and majorettes through the city center. Among the many performers, special mention goes to Damir Urban, who performed for the first time with a string quartet, the popular band Koktelsi, the Dino Dvornik Tribute Band, as well as local Rovinj youth bands, including two groups from the Music Laboratory, the well-established Acid Salvia, and a classical music evening featuring Quintet Recreativo and the Kristijan Terzić band.
For retirees, a free lunch accompanied by a music program featuring Vesna Nežić Ružić and the legendary Anelidi was organized on Saturday afternoon.
On the feast day of the city's patron saint, Saint Euphemia, on September 16th, citizens were treated to a traditional free gastronomic offering in the main town square, with a lively atmosphere provided by the Rovinj band Gato e le Volpi.
As part of the food and wine program, the Rovinj Istrian Supa Festival and the Rovinj Wine Festival were held, with numerous tastings that delighted visitors.
A new feature this year was a 2D projection of the legend of Saint Euphemia on the church façade, and during Damir Urban’s concert, a spectacular fireworks display lit up the sky.
