A mobile application Rovinj - Cultural and Historical Itineraries has been developed as a continuation of the Cultural Tourism project after the publication of a printed brochure indicating eight routes to visit the cultural and historical sights of the town with an emphasis on the old town, its surroundings and the wider town area.

Each route description is accompanied by a sketch map with access to locations. The first part entitled "Itineraries through the former island settlement" presents four possible routes for the sights of the old town, and in the second part entitled "Itineraries on the other side of the former canal" there is a proposed route for viewing the old part of the town just opposite the heart of the old town. The third part entitled "Historical and cultural sights of the narrow and wider area of the town of Rovinj" presents two possible sightseeing tours - one in the northern part of the town covering the area to the Lim Channel, and the other in the southeast part of the town covering the area to the Palud ornithological reserve. "Rovinj's islands" is the fourth part of the brochure, which presents the islands in the vicinity of the town.

The author of the text is a historian, Marino Budicin, who helped define the described routes. All the sights listed in the itineraries contain a brief description with the relevant information, and along with the itineraries are listed numerous interesting features that characterize the rich history, culture and tradition of the town of Rovinj.

This app is intended for all those who, through the proposed itineraries, want to get familiar with the part of Rovinj's rich cultural, historical and traditional heritage, and is available in Croatian, Italian, German and English.
