End of the 26th edition of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival

On July 20 and 21, Rovinj hosted the XXVI edition of the traditional Mediterranean Music Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas. The festival is headquartered in Lisbon (Portugal) and in Pontederi (Italy). It is promoted through the Culture Network in 33 cities in 11 different Mediterranean and Portuguese speaking countries: Brazil, Cabo Verde, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, and Slovenia, and since 2008 in Croatia and Rovinj. The festival presents projects of folk music, street theatre and art, with the participation of the great names of the Mediterranean culture. Due to the European dimension and the high cultural value of the project, it is also supported by the European Union through the Kaleidoscope, Culture 2000 and the Interreg IIIB Medocc programmes. The aim of the project is the international exchange of artists of different cultures, through various forms of art (music, photography, enogastronomy, culture). This year's festival featured the following performers, representatives of the Mediterranean countries: on 20 July 2018 Brava 7Luas Band (Greenland Islands) and Gustafi (Croatia), and on 21 July 2018 AYWA (France) and Les Voix des 7Lunes (Israel - Italy - Réunion - Portugal - Sudan). The organizer of the event is the Associacao Cultural Sete Sois Sete Luas headquartered in Portugal and Italy, and co-organizers in Rovinj are the Tourist Board of the Town of Rovinj-Rovigno, the Town of Rovinj-Rovigno, Istria County and the bend Gustafi.
