Music in Istria in the age of Serenissima
On Monday, September 12, starting at 8 p.m., the Rovinj Multimedia Center will host the first of a series of lectures-concerts.
The initiative enjoys the support of the Veneto region, and is promoted by the Pučko otvoreno učilište Grada Rovinja-Rovigno, in partnership with the Filarmonia Veneta orchestra from Treviso and various local partners: the Italian Communities of Rovinj and Poreč, the Croatian Association of Music Artists, the Association for the Preservation of the Memory of Istrian Composers based in Pula.
Piano professor Aleksandra Golojka, the project's scientific-artistic leader, will lead presentations and interpretations of the repertoire at public events, the last of which is scheduled in Treviso in the spring of 2023 with the performers of the Philarmonia Veneta Orchestra under the direction of M° prof. Alberto Barbaro.
