International choir festival
The "Musica sacra über die Grenzen" festival, which conductor Manfred Linsbauer started more than 20 years ago with the idea that residents of Austria and neighboring countries create music together, took place in Croatia for the first time in 2015. The host countries of the previous editions of the festival were Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy and Slovenia, and thanks to the association Ars Cultura and the mixed choir "Roženice" from Pazin with the support of the Tourist Board of the city of Rovinj-Rovigno, the Tourist Board of the town of Vrsar and Maistra d.d., Croatia was marked on the festival map and became its traditional host. During the three-day program, sacred music concerts, friendship concerts dedicated to the International Day of Choir Singing, a vocal workshop and a round table for all representatives of choirs are realized.
