Early Music Festival

Fidelissima advocata – Echoes of Lepanto in the music of Francesco Usper

Ensemble Responsorium (Sanda Audere – cantus, Tim Braithwaite – altus, Loïc Paulin – tenor, Darko Solter – bassus, Silvio Richter – violin, Indrė Kučinskaitė – cornetto, Tin Cugelj – trombone and artistic direction, Maximilien Brisson – trombone, Rui Staehelin – quintus and theorbo, Augustin Mršić – viola da gamba, Alexander Paine – organ) is the leading Croatian ensemble dedicated to performing music of the 16th and 17th centuries. They will present the musical legacy of Rovinj-born Francesco Usper. This concert will also mark the first performance at the Dvigrad Festival® to feature the restored Baroque organ by Antonio Barbini from 1753, located in Rovinj’s Church of St. Euphemia.
