THE IMPRESSIVE BOŠNJAK-MILOŠEV-KARAMAZOV TRIO

As a part of the 10th Festival of Baroque Music, BaRoMus, St. Francis’ Church in Rovinj hosted a magnificent concert by the Bošnjak-Milošev-Karamazov Trio, leaving the audience breathless throughout the two hours of performance. Nothing less was expected from the world-famous musicians with rich concert histories, Edin Karamazov (guitar), Aleksandar Milošev (viola) and Dani Bošnjak (flute).

For this sold-out concert, the musicians opted for the works by J. S. Bach (Trio sonata BWV 529 and Sonata 1034), F. Schubert (Arpeggione sonata) and L. Brower (Paisajes, retratos y mujeres). Bach’s timeless Trio sonatas, masterfully interpreted by this exceptionally accomplished musical team, were followed by Schubert’s Arpeggione sonata, performed by the excellent violinist Aleksandar Milošev, with intricate accompaniment by Edin Karamazov. Next was another one of Bach’s memorable works, with the marvelous Dani Bošnjak delighting the audience as the main interpreter of the Sonata for flauto traverso. The concert was concluded with music by Leo Brower (Paisajes, retratos y mujeres), a legendary modern Cuban composer. In addition to these, Retrato de Wagner con Mathilde (Portrait of Wagner with Mathilde), Mujer bailando un Minuetto (A Woman Dancing the Minuet) and La pasion segun Dowland (Passion According to Dowland), articulated as three movements, captured the audience’s attention with their simple beauty. After rounds of applause and calls for encore, the musicians responded by presenting the audience with the performance of Tango by the famous Spanish composer I. Albeniz.
