More than 60 world-class instructors of Caribbean dances, 18 DJs, 150 hours of parties, 2 big live concerts and over 3000 thousand high spirited dancers from all around the world in what is known as one of the most vivid little towns in the Mediterranean – Rovinj. A unique cocktail comprised of long-lasting friendships, sea, contagious rhythms and the best party crew every day for almost 2 weeks.
Croatian Summer Salsa Festival in Rovinj is a dance festival which gathers numerous visitors from all over the world for twelve years in a row. Rich and varied program fitted into a picturesque small town in Istria is the main reason why every year more and more people opt for this kind of active vacation.
The program itself offers a range of activities for everyone’s taste, regardless of their dance experience. Dancers who want to improve their skills have a chance to learn from top instructors in more than 120 workshops and people who've never danced before can do so in a separate track for beginners, enabling them to learn their first dance steps in just a couple of days. This festival also offers many parties on different locations in the city – from beaches and pools, up to striking halls of an ex tobacco factory Adris and quaint little streets all around the town. In almost two weeks of the festival the whole town lives and breathes salsa. The 12th anniversary of this dance adventure will also bring numerous surprises next to the usual, rich program.

Three thousand dancers at the 12th Croatian Summer Salsa Festival
Again this year Rovinj was the host of the 12th Croatian Summer Salsa Festival, which attracted over three thousand dancers and more than 60 dance instructors to its the squares, streets, beaches, boats and even vineyards. The visitors, fans of this infectious dance, arrived from all over the world - Dubai, the USA, India as well as countries and cities all over Europe. Over fifty volunteers worked hard to accommodate them and make them feel welcome in Rovinj.
Rovinj confirmed its reputation as the most popular destination for salsa dancers who book their accommodation in hotels, campsites and private apartments in advance, often even a year in advance. Speaking of figures, this year's Salsa Festival brought together more than 60 world-renowned instructors of Caribbean dances, 18 DJs, included 150 hours of partying and held two big concerts. In addition to that, more than 3,000 enthusiastic people / guests from around the world danced during the festival, 120 dance workshops were held by the world's biggest names in the world of salsa. It is not surprising that, after such a reception and organization of the Salsa Festival, we already know that the next will take place from 26 June to 3 July 2017. This information is valuable to the dancers as they plan to come again to Istria and Rovinj, and have an active ‘dance and relax’ vacation filled with good music, parties and an amazing atmosphere.
This year the Tourist Board of Rovinj and Maistra supported the organizers - Salsa Adria Production and Los Mamberos dance club - who have started this fantastic summer story twelve years ago.
