On the Environment Day
The Blue Flag, a symbol of conserved, safe and pleasant environment intended for rest, fun and recreation, is once again flown on five Maistra’s beaches – on the island of Sv. Andrija and in the campsites and tourist resorts Polari, Amarin, Veštar and Villas Rubin. As this is a prestigious symbol or, as the President of the Lijepa naša Association Ante Kutle said, a valued tourist designation that will guide the destination choice for many guests, there are plenty of reasons to be satisfied. Because Rovinj has once again chosen and is part of a major international environmental program for the protection and sustainable management of the sea and coast.
The ceremony of raising the Blue Flag at the Villas Rubin Tourist Resort, which received this significant acknowledgement for the thirteenth time in a row, was preceded by the presentation of awards to Maistra’s other facilities that have featured the distinctive symbol of conserved environment for years. A Silver Plate for the 10th anniversary of obtaining the Blue Flag was presented to the representatives of the Amarin Tourist Resort, while a Gold Plate for the 15th anniversary was presented to the employees of the Koversada Naturist Camp and the Valkanela Camp in Vrsar. In addition to the five Blue Flags that have been flown on Rovinj’s beaches since the 5th of June (Environment Day), it should also be noted that the Maistra hotel company won a total of nine this year. Beside Koversada and Valkanela, the other two are flown on the Porto Sole Camp beach and the beach within the Belvedere Tourist Resort in Vrsar.
