Kultfestival - Common Bond from Israel performed songs about love, friendship, peace…
###
As part of Kultfest (Cultural Festival), which was organized for the fifth year in a row and which promotes coexistence, multiculturalism and openness, the central square in Rovinj hosted the world-known Israeli musicians. These musicians who acquired classical education on the most prestigious world conservatoires are united in the band called ‘Common Bond”.
The performance of Israeli musicians which delighted the visitors can be described as an excellent fusion of folklore music and a strong touch of jazz which, in the end, gives a nostalgic and yet simultaneously energetic, rock sound and expression. In their author songs, these musicians sing about love and friendship and they often sing about their native Israel and the people that live there. Through an unusual fusion of different instruments, such as the flute and oboe mixed with the sounds of drums and electric guitar, one could recognize the sound of the Red Sea and the whisper of a desert storm. Many songs were also dedicated to hope, religion and prayers for peace, while one song entitled “The Sky” evoked the well-known sounds of the percussion and drums from the African continent.
The group „Common Bond“ comprises eight musicians – Yarom Ittah (percussion), Johnatan Zvi Dror (flute, saxophone, duduk and didgeridoo), Nimord Lachish (bas guitar), Kobi Shefi (electric guitar), Ido Zeleznik (keyboard), Anat Ben Hamo (vocal), Roni Zadik (drums) and Yoram Lachish (oboe, English horn and zorna). All musicians played in different symphony orchestras, as well as in numerous jazz, rock and fusion groups. Their concert in Rovinj was organized by Val kulture (the Culture Wave) Association and sponsored by “Maistra” and the Tourist Board of the City of Rovinj.
