Rovinj Photodays
Rovinj Photodays - a national photographic festival and an annual contest for the best photo taken during the previous year. The festival attracts the best Croatian and European photographers and, in addition to themed events, an attractive photo tour will be organized with several art shows held at different venues.

During the two-day festival, the organizers of the 7th Rovinj Photodays ensured a fantastic experience to the hosts and guests of Rovinj, while providing them the opportunity to see and enjoy twenty photographic exhibitions mounted at different locations and venues of the city.
However, the central event took place on the premises of the former Tobacco factory, hosting the works of the most successful participants in this year's international competition to which more than ten thousand photographs were submitted by the authors from thirty countries. Jury selection took place in two rounds, but the chief selector Tod Papageorge, famous and renowned photographer and writer had the final word.
Five finalists were selected and awarded in each category. Nicoletta Boraso and her "Benetton Studios" won the first place in the category „Architecture", Domenico Cipollina’ s "Landscape in Progress" was the best in the category "Landscape", while photographs titled "Childhood Behind the Wall” by Mario Topić were awarded in the category "Documentary ". The most successful in the category "Portraits" was Susanna Holtgrave with "Ferijen kam Fratarski otok", while Igor Sitar made the winning series of photographs in the category "Fashion", titled "Yaser Shaw Scarves ". The category "Nude/Body“ had its laureate Đani Celija with award-winning photographs titled "Slits", while the first place in the category "Artistic Concept" went to Vittorio Mortarotti for the photograph "The First Day of Good Weather".
