BY TRADITION THE EXCELLENT BAND GUSTAFI CLOSES THE FESTIVAL

The sixth edition of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival, which takes place in mid-July each year, ended with an excellent performance of the band Gustafi at the main square of Rovinj. Gustafi, as always, cheered up the audience with their specific interpretation of songs with original Istrian elements and showed the diversity and uniqueness of ethnic melodies.

With one of the largest Croatian bands the audience, on the last evening of the Festival promoted by the Culture Network in thirty cities and eleven countries of the Mediterranean and Portuguese speaking area – Brazil, Cabo Verde, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Slovenia, and ever since the year 2008 in Rovinj as well, enjoyed the performance of the Andalusian choreographer and dancer, the former principal ballet dancer of the Paco Romero Ensemble and the member of the Spanish Teatro de Danza Española from Luisillo – the fascinating Miguel Canas. His Flamenco was a combination of the attraction of the traditional dance and the new avant-garde style which drew a large applause from the audience.

The Festival has demonstrated this year, with diverse art forms and performers from varied cultures, the richness and distinctiveness of the Mediterranean musical expression which touches the listener’s heart with its lyrics and music. For this three-day musical delicacy, and the evening entertainment it provided to the locals and guests of Rovinj, are responsible the co-organizers of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival – The Tourist Board of the Town of Rovinj, The Town of Rovinj, The Istria County and Edi Maružin.
