Le Monde, Tony and Fireworks for a Great Start to 2017
Rovinj residents entered 2017 with a spectacular fireworks display showering their town with light. The fireworks show illuminated exactly at midnight the night sky above the historic center of Rovinj, with all eyes on the sky for a full fifteen minutes.
The fireworks and an evening of open air entertainment were a gift to the residents of Rovinj but also to numerous guests who decided to spend the craziest night of the year in the town of St. Euphemia, the most successful Tourist Board which was the first in the country to reach in 2016, for the seventh time in a row, three million overnight stays.
To thank the Rovinj residents, without whom this success would be impossible, a full program with several days of entertainment was organized, culminating on New Year’s Eve with the performance of the excellent Tony Cetinski and the talented Le Monde Band. The audience was dancing and singing, toasting with wine and champagne, and wishing all the best in the new year to the person standing next to them (friends or not). The New Year’s Eve open air party, planned for the second time by the Tourist Board, has demonstrated this year that an interesting program and lineup of performers can fill the main town square, bring joy and satisfy all the locals and their numerous guests.
