Let's Sing Istrian Songs / Showcase of Istrian kantadurs
Tight-interval two-part singing or singing na tanko i debelo” (in high and low tones) is traditional Istrian folk singing. It has been, for its uniqueness, protected as intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia and inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. At the stage in front of the St. Peter in Chains Church in Barat dozens of Istrian kantadurs (singers) will perform, making this festival the only event dedicated exclusively to this kind of folk singing.
