Thanks to the international sailing regatta known as the Rovinj-Pesaro-Rovinj Regatta, the pomegranate, the symbol of Rovinj, has crossed the state border. Namely, Dario Činić, Director of the Tourist Association of Rovinj, and Silvio Brunelli, Vice President of the Rovinj Town Council, have presented their hosts, one of the Members of the Sports and Culture Commission and the Mayor of Pesaro, with a pomegranate stem representing the wealth and richness of the town of Saint Euphemia at the tourist promotion organized at the Port of Pesaro.

The tourist promotion of Rovinj organized at the Port of Pesaro was a great success. As expected, it attracted a large number of visitors. In addition to the promotional material that was grabbed away in no time, the citizens of the ‘brother port’ of the Port of Rovinj were especially astonished by the offer of gastronomic delights and good-quality wines. Well-received by the citizens of Pesaro were also the veterans of the Rovinj Basketball Club who played a friendly game with their hosts.

The sailing regatta recorded the best results this year. Skipper Michelea Cinquepalmi is the holder of the new record in crossing the distance between Pesaro and Rovinj. Competing in the Maxi Class, he managed to cross the distance between the two Adriatic coasts, a distance of 76 miles, on his sailboat named Chica Magnum in only 8h 5min 25sec. The winner of the ninth place in the same class was the sailboat named Blue Eye (Erto Fabris and a crew of Rovinj veteran basketball players) managing to cross the distance in 11h 17min 4sec.
