The concert evening, entitled the BaroccArmonica, was opened by the aria from Händel’s opera “Rinaldo” – “Lascia ch'io pianga”, and continued by performances of “Lamento di Apollo” by P. F. Cavalli, “Ciaccona” by B. Storace, “Recercata ottava” by G. B. De gl'Antonio. Aspiring to present ancient music can be played somewhat differently, their renditions included some elements of jazz and blues, which but additionally thrilled numerous visitors. Simultaneously, “A Sort of a Dance” was an auteur improvisation by Max de Aloea, and an intermezzo of a kind with more contemporary feel coupled with sounds of blues.

Brilliant variations on arias from Händel’s oratorio “Saul” followed – “O Lord, whose Mercy’s Numberless”, Frescobaldi’s “Toccate Prima” and Purcell’s “Lamento di Didone” from the opera Dido and Eneas. During the rest of the BaRoMus, music buffs are in for two more attractive concerts – by the ensemble Simposio Armonico, which will perform Hebrew baroque music, and “Bach& Jazz”, where Renato Rozic, playing the guitar, and Matija Dedića, on the piano, will perform.
