Tourism Turnover Realised in 2024

In the period from 1 January until 31 December 2024, the city of Rovinj recorded 735.556 arrivals and 4.210.577 overnights. Compared to 2023, both arrivals and overnights fell by 1%. The analysis of realised overnights by markets shows that German tourists accounted for the largest share in total overnights, i.e., 33%, which is however a 7% decrease compared to the year before. Austrian tourists accounted for the second largest share in total overnights, i.e., 15%, down by 3%, followed by Italian tourists with a share of 6%, down by 10%, Croatian tourists with a share of 6%, thus remaining at last year’s level, and Danish tourists with a share of 5%, up by 1%, compared to the previous year. The analysis of realised overnights by type of accommodation shows that the largest number of overnights were recorded in camps, accounting for a share of 44%, which is a 3% decrease compared to the year before, followed by hotels accounting for a share of 21%, recording an increase by 3%. Household facilities accounted for a share of 19% in total overnights, down by 5%, tourist resorts accounted for a share of 10%, thus remaining at last year’s level. Other hospitality facilities accounted for a share of 3%, up by 3%, while the share of non-commercial accommodation was also 3%, however down by 3% compared to the previous year. There are currently 1.973 tourists in our town, which is at last year’s level.
