St. Lawrence's Night, an event held in the period of the year when the shooting stars, better known as the „tears of St. Lawrence“, can be seen most clearly in the sky, was held on Saturday, August 10, for the thirteenth year in a row. To accentuate the romantic atmosphere in the town on this special evening, waterfront lighting was turned off and torches were lit instead, while candlelight radiated from numerous restaurant and bar terraces, creating just the right atmosphere and completing the experience of the night under the stars.

The entertainment program featuring romantic music, organized at eight locations across the town, and the light effects, which made the main town square shine in an interplay of color, added to the romantic charm of Rovinj.

The program started with a promenade and a dance performance by the members of the Roxanne dance group who pranced around the town dressed in court gowns, accompanied by musicians and torch light, suggesting the tone of the entire event. The performers included: Kristijan and Tasha Duo, Eleonora & Luka Duo, Eligio and Boris Duo, Stand by Duo, Contra A Capella Vocal Group, Le Monde Acoustic, Franko Krajcar & Indivia, Acoustic Fever, and Opera b.b. that organized An Evening of Spiritual and Pop Music featuring the Roženice Pazin mixed choir and Ronald Braus (conductor: Ines Kovačić Drndić, piano: Darijan Ivezić), SAC-KUD Marco Garbin, and Davor and Gracijan Terzić Duo.

The event program was enriched by selected culinary offerings, The Tastes of Our Fields, provided by the Agrorovinj Association.
