At the same time, the life achievement “Kadar“ award was given to the Zagreb photographer Marija Braut.
The second Photodays also saw the prizes for the best photo route participants awarded, who had the task to shoot the best photographs in different town locations, and according to previously created plans. The panel selected five most attractive photographs among 136 of them, while eleven more authors were given consolatory prizes. Anastazija Vržin was selected as the most successful photo route photographer, while the second place went to a guest of Rovinj, the German Dietmar Rabenstein, and the third to the domestic author and photographer Dalibor Talajić. Boris Kovačev won the fourth position; the fifth went to Gadafi Zulbeari.
Apart from great excitement caused by the awards, other attractive events were not lacking either. One of more interesting ones was the installation of “100 Chair Types” at the central town square by the author Boris Matešić from Osijek, president of the Association for creative struggle against windmills. Citing the author, the exhibition goal was promoting tolerance among people – this despite all their peculiarities and differences. Following Osijek, the exhibition of “100 Chair Types” had its first promotion in Rovinj, after which Italian Vicenza and next Dubrovnik are to follow.
