After the performance by the Spanish flamenco dancer „La Monete“, the second musical evening of the „Kultfest“ was reserved for the hot African rhythms and the performance by musicians of the group „Adikanfo“ from Ghana who introduced a pallet of dances, music and customs from the Black continent.
One of the main characteristics of these musicians is that their characteristic rhythms come from traditional instruments they play on, among which are the ones most interesting to the audience, “the talking drums”, atunpan, obrante (kpanlogo), kete set, penpensiwa, gomme, fontonfrom, dawuro, bleket.
Group „Adikanfo“ has nine musicians and dancers, of whom some are members of the National cultural center in Kumasi and the National Ensemble in Accra, interpreting rhythms such as nwomkro, adowa, kete, bomaa, sikyi, kpanlogo boboobo, agbadza, togo atsia, bamaya, toola.
Unfortunately, their performance in Rovinj was accompanied by rain. However, despite that, large audience was not scared of the big raindrops and lightning, but had a wonderful time under these unexpected weather conditions and danced under their umbrellas.
