Already in the morning after the great performance by Severina, the officials of the Tourist Board have proven that they are not resting on laurels and old glory by hosting 65 young members of the Wind Instrument Orchestra of the Music School Vatroslav Lisinski from Zagreb at the large central stage.

Conducted by Mario Komazin, the students of this famous music school, who last year won the State Award in the Ensemble category, presented themselves to the Rovinj audience with a wide repertoire of classic and popular works. The concert was opened with Šoštaković’s jazz suit no. II, (III partiture), and was continued with the performances from popular musicals, among which „West side story“, i.e. music from the film Pink Panther.

This is the first hosting of the young and talented people, who came to the town of St. Euphemia after having held numerous concerts throughout Croatia from Samobor and Križevci to Delnice and Dubrovnik.

The Wind Instrument Orchestra of the Music School Vatroslav Lisinski was founded in the school year 2002/2003 and today consists of 65 students of the wind instrument department.

The orchestra, conducted by Mario Komazin, includes all the wind instruments- piccolo, flute, hautboy and clarinet, fagot, alt, tenor and baritone saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphony, tube and percussions.

Double bass recently joined the orchestra thus making it a large symphonic wind instrument orchestra.

The guests and the audience liked the performance of the show part of the program, which they awarded with lasting applause and two encores.
