The album was announced with the single and video “Eleno kerko”, recorded in Zagreb during December 2013 in the studio of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Her performances are meditative, honest, subtle, but deeply experienced, and great musicality and simplicity are felt in them, inherent only to those who succeed to penetrate into the core of the matter which they deal with.

"Silk&Stone" Concert Sold Out

The 4th Avantgarde Jazz Festival had the privilege of hosting Amira Medunjanin, the electrifying singer of Bosnian Sevdalinka. The artist also interprets Macedonian and Serbian folk songs, with the same intensity and beauty. She is promoting her newest album “Silk&Stone” and this is her second visit, after singing at the last year's Avantgarde Jazz Festival. Besides performing songs from her latest album, such as “Eleno kerko”, “Što te nema”, “Kradem ti se večeri”, “Sejdefu majka buđaše”, the artist, considered the Bosnian Billie Holiday, sang the old gem  “Ima dana kada ne znam što da radim”, and “Zajdi, zajdi” at the audience’s request.
The two-hour concert for local fans and visitors from Pula, Umag, Rijeka and other towns was over too fast. Medunjanin stirred the emotions of the audience and easily convinced them to sing along with her and, without any further persuasion, to cry as well. The Sarajevo native with an angelic voice and huge talent just had to let her voice flow and shine. The audience also enjoyed the instrumental accompaniment – Boško Jović on the guitar and Nenad Vasilić on the contrabass. Due to the audience’s enthusiasm, the singer promised: We’ll see each other again, but this time with a full orchestra!
The main sponsors of Amira Medunjanin’s concert at the fourth edition of the increasingly renowned Avantgarde Jazz Festival were Adris grupa and the Tourist Board of the Town of Rovinj.
