For the third consecutive year, Rovinj was host to the Mediterranean Folk Music Festival, Sete Sos Sete Las (Seven Suns, Seven Moons). During the first festival night, taking place at the central town square, visitors enjoyed a performance by Frank Krajcar and the Indivia group, followed by the 7 Luas Orchestra, composed of Portuguese, Spanish, Greek, Italian and Croatian singers and musicians. The Istrian musician presented himself with the tunes from his first signature album "Pensieri," where he composed an ethno and ambience story of the home, people and the customs of the region, skilfully intertwining the recognisable Istrian musical scale with modern elements, own voice and the attractive female vocal of the Indivia.

The audience were thrilled, and also danced to the performance by the 7 Luas Orchestra, composed of musicians from different countries where the Festival takes place. The Orchestra was thus formed of six musicians - Alentejo Celina da Piedade (Alentejo), Manuel Cabrales (Andalusia), Marko Kalčić (Istria), Kelly Thoma (Greece), Mario Incudine (Sicily) and Efrén López (Valencia), the repertoire of who was inspired by the musical tradition of the Mediterranean and the countries each of the musician comes from – ranging from the Portuguese fado, Spanish flamenco, the Istrian scale and the singing Sicily, to the recognisable Greece. This original artistic rendition of the Sete Sois Sete Luas Festival had its national premiere precisely in Rovinj.

The Sete Sois Sete Luas Project (Seven Suns, Seven Moons), supported by the central team located in Lisbon and the Italian Pontedera, was organised in Rovinj by the County of Istria, the Town of Rovinj and its Tourist Board and Edi Maružin. That is, this is a festival that is in its 18th year, and that will take place this year in 25 towns of Brazil, Cape Verde, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Croatia, with Rovinj as its sole representative.
