Festival Sete Sois Sete Luas

International festival of traditional music performers, that takes place in Mediterranean countries. Artists from Italy, Spain and Portugal will perform in Rovinj.

4 th Summer Salsa Festival

Concert: IVA BITTOVA

Iva Bittova, Čehinja romsko-židovskog porijekla, je jedna od najznačajnijih i najoriginalnijih čeških umjetnica. Krečući se između narodne i suvremene glazbe, Bittova je stvorila originalan i potpuno intiman stil kojeg sama naziva «moja osobna narodna muzika». Iako je njenu glazbu teško svrstati pod neki određeni žanr moguće je prepoznati utjecaje klasike, slavenskih i ciganskih narodnih motiva i avangarde. Koristeći samo glas i violinu ona iz te kombinacije izvlači maksimum stvarajući temperamentnu, dramatičnu i istodobno vrlo senzibilnu i nježnu glazbu. Zbog maštovitih vokalnih egzibicija (kombinacija smijeha, plača, životinjskih zvukova, čudnih grlenih glasova,...), spojenih s mimikom i elementima performansa te impresivnog sviranja violine (neprestano miješanje potpuno različitih tehnika) njen nastup je pravi doživljaj iako je na sceni samo jedna osoba. Kritičari iz cijelog svijeta su pokušali muziku Iva Bittove smjestiti u određene razrede, ali im to nije uspjelo. Neki je uspoređuju s Meredith Monk, neki zazivaju Laurie Anderson, ili čak Diamandu Galas. Bittova je do danas izdala preko 15 albuma, a surađivala ije s poznatim svjetskim muzičarima kao što su Fred Frith, Tom Cora, Chris Cutler, David Moss,...

Maistrana 2008 Recreational race for street-racers and Mountain-Bike riders along the coast and inland, on two trails that connect Vrsar and Rovinj. MTB riders descend down the slopes of Lim Bay and climb into a boat with their bicycles, continuing their ride on the Rovinj's side of the bay, while street-racers move toward them - Dvigrad, Kanfanar, Savicenta, Bale, finally reaching the final destination: Rovinj.
